Dear Members,

I am honoured and excited to have been elected as President of the North Shore Sporting Car Club (NSSCC). This role comes with great responsibility, and I look forward to continuing the growth and success of our club. I must acknowledge my predecessor, Brett, who has left an incredible legacy. Brett’s contributions have positioned NSSCC as one of the leading car clubs in NSW, and I am pleased that he will remain on the committee, focusing on commercial opportunities for the club.

As I step into this role, I want to share my vision and goals for NSSCC. I will also support the continued improvements in recognising the significant effort put in by our club volunteers:

• Growth and Development:
  • I aim to continue growing our membership base and fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Junior development remains a priority. By supporting young drivers and providing opportunities to develop their skills, we can ensure the future of motorsport in our community.
• Securing a Dedicated Event Area:
  • Continuing with Brett’s support and guidance in acquiring a dedicated area for events such as Khanacross is essential for the club’s long-term sustainability. I will work diligently to champion this initiative.
• Improving Club Systems:
  • Updating and replacing our current membership system will streamline operations and enhance the experience for our members.
• Supporting Signature Events:
  • Autobrunch is a cornerstone of our club, and I am committed to supporting and growing this event further.
  • The Rally of the Bay has become a favourite among NSW Championship rallies. Ensuring its continued success and popularity will remain a top priority.
• Celebrating Milestones:
  • Having celebrated our 75th anniversary in 2024, we now have an incredible opportunity to honour the rich history of our club while showcasing our vision for future success. Planning for this milestone will commence early next year, and I encourage all members to get involved.

I believe that, in general, events must stand on their own to enable motorsport to continue and grow. Most importantly, I want every member to feel a sense of belonging and pride in being part of NSSCC. This club thrives because of the passion, commitment, and camaraderie of its members. Together, we can achieve great things and continue building on the strong foundation that has been laid over the years.
