volksMuller Gravel Rallysprint ENTRIES OPEN

By Gravel Rallysprint

The North Shore Sporting Car Club (NSSCC) announced entries open today for this popular yearly event.

Based on a very similar format (no asphalt) to past years the event to be held on Sunday the 20th May,  is sure to attract a full field (like the last 3 years).

We have again offered  S1 and S2 format events on the same day, so teams can choose options, such as with or without restrictors, Roll Cages or Log books.” Said Brett Middleton, Club President and event Director.

We do recommend the best possible safety items such as FRS, Roll cages and more, where possible.” Brett added.

The club will offer the following for the event;

  • S2 spec event for scoring points for the V sport rallysprint series
  • S1 spec event for members of NSSCC who do not have a restrictor, roll cage or such and do not want to score points
    (the S1 event allows a great come and try format where drivers as young as 14 can compete)

volksMuller are again naming rights partners and company owner Steve Muller will also enter the event.

COURSE

NSSCC continue to invest in the course at Sydney Dragway, a total of $30,000 and over 130 tone of high quality road base has been added over the last two years, to improve the course.  A car could actually compete without a sumpgard !

The event is the cheapest gravel rallysprint in NSW,

  • With the lowest transport distance (each stage is less thaan 1 km from the service area),
  • The closest venue (reduced costs to get there)
  • Best facilities (huge asphalt service park, and much more)
  • BBQ and coffee all day

Club Membership Reward Program

By News

The North Shore Sporting Car Club (NSSCC) is proud to announce a new scheme to reward its members.

Beginning from the Singleton Automotive Caves Classic Rally on the 14th of April, NSSCC will be rewarding officials with free membership in return for volunteering as an official.

The club wishes to reward ALL volunteers for helping at NSSCC events, the value of officials is recognised and as a result this new system will help these hard-working people.

We understand the pressures of our work/life balance and want to show our appreciation to new and existing members by offering new or extended membership.” Said Brett Middleton, Club President.

The club will offer free or extended membership for the following;

  • 12 Months for AMH Automotive Rally of the Bay
  • 6 Months for Singleton Automotive Caves Classic Rally
  • 3 Months for a Khanacross, Rallysprint, or 3 (in one season) Whiteline Tarmac Rallysprint events.

We hope the new scheme will encourage more participation in not only our club, but rallying in general, by removing fiscal barriers for people who share in our passion but may not be actively competing.

NSSCC encourages knowledge sharing and actively helps members pursue officials qualifications through CAMS. We are hoping to open the doors to the next generation of rally organisers.” Added Angus Fraser, Club Captain.

If you are interested in volunteering please contact our Club Captain, Angus Fraser on 0407 209 245 or email at angusfraser@hotmail.com.

By Caves Classic 2018, Events, News, Rally

Singleton automotive confirmed as naming rights partner again for 2018.

The North Shore Sporting Car Club is pleased to announce a renewed partnership with Singleton Automotive Centre in presenting the Singleton Automotive Centre Caves Classic Rally at OBERON on 14th April 2018.

Singleton Automotive Centre is a Ford and Nissan dealership in Singleton by long-time club member Rob Inall and his wife Karen.

Rob is proud to be able to rejoin as a naming partner for this event again and is also planning to compete!

He said, “The Caves Classic is an event near and dear to me after many years of competing and volunteering.  It was a rally I did in my first season in the early 90’s and I’ve been involved in it in some way ever since.  To have the family business name associated with it for 2017 will be a proud moment. The 2017 event was a success and we willcontinue to support the event again”

Rally Director John Sparkes, who has competed against Rob for many years, said “It’s fantastic to have Rob’s business gaining exposure to the Motorsport Community and beyond through our event. I wish Rob and Karen every success with their new venture and feel sure the partnership with NSSCC will be mutually beneficial for their business and our club.”

The Singleton Automotive Centre Caves Classic Rally will be the first round of the NSW 2018 NSW State Rally Series, The Clubman Rally Series and Hyundai Rally Series, held in the Jenolan and Hampton State Forests near Oberon.
