NSSCC Drive to Survive Khanacross 18th September 2016

Following on from the success of the May Khanacross, the NSSCC Committee are proud to announce a second, closed-to-club, khana event on the grass car parks at Eastern Creek on Sunday the 18th of September.
 
This event will be focused more towards junior drivers and is sponsored by ‘Drive To Survive’, with 3 lucky entrants being presented with defensive driving program certificates worth over $800.
 
In addition, the club will be applying for the CAMS Driver Development Program grant to assist with entry fees. The day will focus on practice, education and above all, fun for club members and Khanacross fans alike! Keep an eye out on the NSSCC website and Facebook page for further details on this grassroots-friendly event.

Revised Club Charter / Mission and Pillars

The NSSCC Committee have recently developed the refreshed Club Charter / Mission and Pillars. The intention of this document is to provide members with clear understanding of where the club is headed into the future and for the Committee to use as a guide to steer Club decisions. Here is an excerpt:

Club Motto: ‘Passionate about motorsport since 1952’.

Charter / Mission:

Sydney’s North Shore Sporting Car Club is one of Australia’s largest, most passionate and active motorsport clubs, primarily (but not exclusively) involved with gravel and tarmac rally-based competition. The club organises a wide range of events, actively encouraging member participation and maintaining strong relationships with other motorsport clubs and associations.

Our mission is to encourage enthusiastic participation in the club’s activities, including contesting, organising and officiating at motorsport events of all types in an enjoyable, friendly and supportive environment.

Enjoy a get together with fellow club members and display your car or just look at those on display. Have a coffee or early BBQ breakfast with us.

Starts at 8am and winds up about 11am.

The seeded entry list for this weekends volksMuller Gravel Rallysprint, Round 4 of the Simpson Australia 2016 NSW Rallysprint Series, is now out and available for download here.

We have 47 cars entered with many double entered.

We can’t wait for a great day full of rallying this Sunday.

May madness for North Shore Sporting Car Club

The North Shore Sporting Car Club is excited to bring you a jam-packed month of events with 4 events over 4 weeks.

 
Dale Moscatt Dakar Rally Presentation & AGM (Monday 9th May)

Join us to hear Dale Moscatt, a professional rally co-driver with experience in over 300 rallies, give a presentation on his recent experience co-driving alongside Czech-born Australian Peter Jerie in the 2016 Dakar Rally.

The event will be held at the Roseville Memorial Club, 64 Pacific Hwy, Roseville, with dinner from 7pm and the presentation from 8pm. This night will also combine our Annual General Meeting for the club. All members and potential members are welcome to attend.

To show our appreciation of your attendance, all current members will be entitled to a complimentary dinner and two drinks (bring your current membership card for proof).

 
NSSCC Khanacross (Sunday 15th May)

Entries are now open for the NSSCC Khanacross, Round 3 of the NSW Motorkhana Championship and Khanacross Series. Held at the geographical heart of Sydney (Western Sydney International Dragway at Eastern Creek).

This event is a great way for people to try out rallying and practice car control on a loose surface (grass) without high expense!

volksMuller Gravel Rallysprint (Sunday 22nd May)

Entries are now open for the volksMuller Gravel Rallysprint, Round 4 of the Simpson Australia 2016 NSW Rallysprint Series, held at the Western Sydney International Dragway at Eastern Creek. The stage is 3.5km in distance which will be run a minimum of 3 times in each direction.

With almost 30 teams registered prior to entries opening, we ought to see a large field with plenty of strong competition.

Auto Brunch (Sunday 5th June)

Auto brunch continues to grow in size with every passing month. Head to St Ives showground for the monthly event Auto Brunch. The event is open to all car enthusiasts.

Come and join other car owners and display your car or just look at those on display while enjoying a coffee or BBQ Breakfast with us.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help with events, so, if you are able to lend a hand with any of events listed above or future events, send us a message on the Facebook page or website (links below). No experience necessary!

  • Up to 6 co drivers per driver entry.

Stage data

  • Stage length over 3 km.
  • Run both directions.
    amazing roads, some fast, some slow

  • 6 passes in total.
  • Best service facilities,relax on grass, service  on asphalt!

Car Requirements

  • No restrictor needed  for turbo cars.
  • No civil licence required.
  • No road car rego needed.
  • Roll cage IS needed, but does not need to be CAMS compliant, if its deemed safe by our scrutineer you can run!
  • Log Books not needed.
