Whiteline is pleased to announce its involvement as naming rights partner of the Summer Tarmac Twilight Rallysprint series for the next two years covering both the 2016/17 and 2017/18 series at Sydney International Dragway.
The popular North Shore Sporting Car Club hosted series is entering its third season and is a relatively new concept that allows all levels of competitors a chance to indulge their passion in a safe and controlled environment.
The five-round series is run over a challenging 3.5km stage using a variety of tarmac roads within he Sydney Dragway complex at Eastern Creek giving both experienced and novice drivers (and co-drivers) an opportunity to perfect their driving skills and techniques.
North Shore Sporting car club have negotiated a huge PR deal with Whiteline, excluding cash. The aim is to have a win, win relationship with the two parties that will generate positive PR for both.
The rally sprints are open to drivers over 14 years of age (conditions apply) which means whether you are learning to drive, trying to build confidence or testing your latest suspension upgrades, the Whiteline Summer Twilight Tarmac Rallysprint offers the opportunity to do it.
Whiteline Summer Twilight Tarmac Rallysprints are held weeknights nights from 5pm during the daylight savings months from October to March and see some of Sydney’s leading tuners and teams test their skills as they navigate the stage against the clock.
“Whiteline is proud to be partnering with a motor sport discipline that focuses on vehicle handling and driver skill rather than outright power or top speed. The event provides the platform with which to connect and engage with our target audience as well as support those looking to get started in motorsport”, said Justin Cordes, business development manager for Whiteline.
“Organising a tarmac rally event in Sydney encourages more people into the sport, having a major automotive brand such as Whiteline, as a partner helps us get the message to more people that this is an event they can enter in almost any car as long as its safe,” said Brett Middleton, president of North Shore Sporting Car Club. “it’s also a great way to teach car control in a safe environment to our junior members” he added.
